Two fronts are scavenging for anger while the racial storm brews out of control

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 5:06 pm by Ryan

There is a terrible storm brewing.

I was watching “The Perfect Storm” the other night, and it dawned on me that what I am seeing is similar to the storm in that movie. There are several fronts that are out there, scavenging for strength and fuel, and when those fronts collide, we’re going to have a disaster on our hands.

I never realized the can of worms that I was opening up by attaching my handle to the Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom murders. I can’t say that I could have anticipated what I have found out there, but I can’t say that it surprises me either. The average white American out there is getting tired of being dumped on and is getting really sick of being made to feel bad for being white.

To be certain, I am not racist, but I am quickly falling into the aforementioned category. I am a white American. I am not a white supremacist, I am not a white nationalist. I am just a white guy who is tired of being told he can’t be proud of who he is.

Snobby Minnesotans snub The Simpsons. D’oh!

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , at 12:30 pm by Ryan

I always have to wonder (along with fellow Wisconsinite, Phiesty) what is wrong with Minnesotans. I was born and grew up in Minnesota, and it wasn’t until recently that I started to see things get weird. Almost as if Minnesotans have developed some sort of a weird superiority complex. A “we’re better than you” mentality if you will.

This goes along with the currently elected representatives who think that Minnesota needs to be the top in everything; ranging from taxes to renewable energy policies.

However, this holier-than-thou attitude has to stop somewhere, and people need to stop and just enjoy some things. If there is one thing that should be universally enjoyed, it is the TV show, The Simpsons. There are reasons why The Simpsons has been around for as long as it has, and has enjoyed continued popularity across the world. It’s something we can all laugh at. It’s a comical view of the American family just trying to make it in the world. Most of us can regularly identify with happening in the show, and can laugh because we’ve been there or done that (of course, usually not the extreme that it happens to the Simpson family).

But if we can’t sit back and enjoy The Simpsons, where are we?

Well, Springfield, Minnesota I guess.

Public schools embrace “everybody’s a winner” policy and help destroy what made this Nation great

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , at 10:00 am by Ryan

Why is pride a bad thing?

I never thought I would see the day when Americans feel shameful about being Americans. The country that has always prided itself as being the Greatest Nation on Earth now hides that pride because too many people get offended by our greatness.

I’m not a huge history buff, but I am big into World War 2 history. One of the things that bothers me is watching the degradation of our own self opinion between then and now. The Greatest Generation can no longer support this country, and those people who are stepping into those shoes are too weak to carry on the legacy of greatness. What’s worse is that these people are teaching their children to hide their pride.

I can’t imagine anything worse than having young people taught from an early age that they shouldn’t be proud of who they are or proud of what they accomplish.

This is terrifyingly evident in a recent occurrence in Minnesota schools.

Cindy Sheehan walks away

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , at 11:40 am by Ryan

Cindy Sheehan, the “face of the anti-war movement” is walking away from the peace movement.

I hate to say it, but I can’t say I say I disagree with her rationale. I can’t say I’m surprised either. The Left is a fair-weather friend, and Cindy lost the backing of her supporting party

Is it surprising that the Left abandoned her? Not at all. They only do what’s best for them, and when Cindy’s interests conflicted with theirs, they suddenly turned on her and viciously attacked.

In her resignation letter (read it here) she concludes by saying this:

“This is my resignation letter as the ‘face’ of the American anti-war movement. This is not my ‘Checkers’ moment, because I will never give up trying to help people in the world who are harmed by the empire of the good old US of A, but I am finished working in, or outside of this system. This system forcefully resists being helped and eats up the people who try to help it. I am getting out before it totally consumes me or anymore people that I love and the rest of my resources.

Good-bye America …you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I can’t make you be that country unless you want it.”

I will not say good riddance, but I will say that I severely disagree with her blanket statement. Just because you can’t sway the course of government does not mean it’s worth it it decry America as a whole. I might have had some sympathy for her cause had she not taken this approach. There are plenty of good Americans, and plenty of good reasons to call ourselves Americans. When Cindy takes this stance, I immediately dismiss her, as do most of the logical, level-headed people out there.

A word from the logical… Cindy, when you take the extremist route, you lose the support of everybody else, and the rest of us a much more powerful force than the extremist community.

“Sanctuary city” policy helps shield illegal immigrants while tying the hands of local police

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 10:40 am by Ryan

On the heels of my previous post regarding the outrage over the arrests of illegal immigrants involved in an international prostitution ring, the story surfaces again, this time showing both sides of the community.

A brief recap… 18 people were recently arrested in a bust that targeted an international prostitution ring in the Twin Cities. The ring involved 8 brothels in the area as well as “half-way” houses where women were brought to from the airport before being sent to a particular brothel. These women had their papers taken from them to keep them from running.

Of the 18 people arrested, 14 were illegal immigrants while the other 4 were legal immigrants.

Angry supporters of illegal immigrants are claiming that this was a raid against illegal immigrants, ignoring the underlying crime that they were arrested for. Another chief complaint is that the Minneapolis police department assisted in the bust, which according to the supporters, they shouldn’t have done since Minneapolis is considered a “sanctuary city” which prohibits local police from involvement in immigration issues. Again, the underlying crime is being ignored in lieu of “those poor immigrants.”

Klobuchar speaks at Memorial Day event

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , at 6:54 am by Ryan

As a Veteran, I found myself terribly offended when I heard that Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar spoke at the State Memorial Day event at Fort Snelling.

I know it must make her feel good to stick her nose in this event, and I’m sure it was great PR,  but as far as I am concerned she has no business being there. She has proven to be the worst kind of Democrat, and as a proud Veteran who has served this Nation with distinction, I am disgusted that people like her are in Washington right now, and are charged with the well being of this country and our military.

Matching faces to random crime

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 8:27 pm by Ryan

I have spent a great deal of time talking about the Knoxville murders over the past couple of weeks, which is contrary to my usual local focus. However, this has not all been for naught. My anger towards the treatment of certain issues over others is a hundred times greater when dealing with the local happenings.

The massive amount of coverage that the media gives to certain types of stories is disheartening at best. Every day we are inundated with endless coverage of things like immigrant protests over raids, US attorney issues, and “unfair” police actions. But what about the things that should be important, especially in the community?

How many people Know the names Rich Christianson and Michael Trinity? I do, but that’s because I follow such things. Conversely, how many people know the name Sean Bell or Duke Rape? Much more so than Sean Bell, Duke Rape or any of the other crap we are getting filled with day after day are the people who’s names we so readily forget or never even hear about.

I have touched on Rich and Michael before, but let me do it again.

This is Rich Christianson (top) and Michael Trinity (bottom). They were randomly robbed and executed on April 17, 2007 as they left a Minneapolis bar. Each was forced to kneel in an ally and shot once in the head after they gave up their wallets to a couple of black teens. This is a horrific crime, and it makes me sick to my stomach to think about it, yet the story gets lost beneath the crap that the media chooses to feed us

A Yahoo! search for Michal Trinity and Richard Christianson turned up 33 hits, and many of those were already dead links to flash in the pan news stories from local media sources. In contrast, a search for Sean Bell + killing (to filter out other Sean Bells) turns up 159,000+ hits, including its own Wikipedia page. Duke Rape has over 2.5 million hits

The only article that I could find that talked about the sadness and outrage of this crime was an article covering a brief interview with Trinity’s mother with KSTP news. I would highly advise that people check out the article and watch the video clip. Otherwise, she says:

“This is not just another faceless victim, I want people to know this was an extraordinary human being.”

I couldn’t agree more. I wish there was more that could be done to get the word out. I’m tired of hearing about the silly and inane things that go on, and would like to see that the truth get out about the truly horrible crimes that happen in communities. We owe it to Rich and Mike to remember them and to pay their deaths just as much, if not more attention as the death of a felon at the hands of police officers. It has only been slightly over a month since this senseless double murder, and yet it’s already all but forgotten about. How sad is that? Not that I think we should dwell, but we also can’t let something like this slip away.

A crime like this is more than just a murder, it is a sign of the times in the community; much more so than the Duke Rape fiasco or the Sean Bell killing. Crimes like this an the Knoxville murders of Channon Christian an Chris Newsom are the crimes that need to be addressed in order to understand what’s happening in the black community, yet they get swept away before people even learn the names of the victims. These are not drug crimes, they are not crimes of passion or crimes by known associates. These are random and brutal killings of people who just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. People who were just out enjoying the night and were killed for no particular reason.

These are the things we need to have pounded into our heads, and these are the things the communities need to address, or things like this will continue to happen. I don’t care if it offends blacks to hear this, and I don’t care if blacks feel they are targeted by the media or the communities. Maybe that’s what needs to happen. It’s the people in their own community that are committing these atrocities, so maybe it’s time they get saddled with the burden of dealing with it.

This is not me being racist. Far from it. This is me saying that the media needs to stop fearing the black community and put more focus on the crimes that their members are committing instead of stuffing the articles behind immigrants issues and Attorney General nonsense. People like Rich and Mike and Channon and Chris deserve better than second-page reporting.

An interesting and disheartening twist in race relations and the Newsom/Christian murders

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 12:20 pm by Ryan

I have been watching this incident spin out control, and I am utterly shocked at some of the bizarre racial aspects that are turning up all over. It seems that the problem of black on white crime is stirring up anger and hate on both sides of the field and is making people question whether or not they really are racist, and if so, why? Looking around, I happened across a piece of controversial information that exemplifies this problem as it comes from the black side of things.

I can’t verify the authenticity of some of this information, but even if it’s made up, the lasting effects remain. People are reading these things and they’re fueling fires within the various communities.

One particular article (the original article has disappeared, but a copy of it has been put on SigForum.com here) that has popped up all over the place, and has already had 30,548 views on my referenced website alone, advocates anti-white feelings by using the Newson/Christian murders has fuel. The speaker, “Nicholas Thief” (I can’t actually verify the existence of this person, as the name is presumably an alias) who claims to be the leader of a group called “Black Poverty Speaks” (again, I can’t confirm this), makes some pretty sensational statements regarding a supposed rally in support and celebration of 2 of the 5 suspects in the murder case:

“We’re celebrating underprivileged Knoxville blacks who victimize privileged Knoxville whites”

“These are the kinds of communities we live in all throughout this country. These communities are the legacies of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade.”

“That whites’ ancestors and the government hasn’t and doesn’t educate whites on how the legacy of slavery has created the impoverished conditions that do continue to influence and trap our people doesn’t mean we have to excuse their ignorance.”

“There’s going to be a party in Knoxville and America every time black poverty speaks and privileged whites suffer.”

So, unfortunately I can’t verify the truth behind this, I don’t know if there actually will be some sort of celebration for these guys, but the fact that this sort of stuff is out there is very concerning. People are reading this on both sides of the line, and both whites and blacks are getting angry about it. There are many whites out there who read this and believe what it says and are outraged. There are many blacks who read it and believe it and think that Nicholas Thief has the right idea. There are those who don’t believe it, and there are blacks who are pissed because this sort of thing is further fueling racism, but the damage is already done, and even the most “proper” blacks can’t deny that there are a number of people in their race who think and act like this.

Silly lawsuits exemplify a disturbing trend in American society

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , at 1:30 pm by Ryan

A 3-fer for today? You bet. There’s just too much out there to cover.

You all know that I am very outspoken about people taking responsibility for themselves. I won’t get into it too much, but in short, the state that this country is in right now; the state where people don’t take responsibility for themselves or their actions because it’s easier to point the finger elsewhere, claim some sort of disability or take advantage of handouts… It is a very alarming state, and it’s starting to severely clog up the legal system and the welfare/aid system.

Specifically, I need to address two stories regarding silly lawsuits that popped up on my RSS feeds this morning.

Illegal immigrant supporters protest the arrest of criminals

Posted in Uncategorized tagged , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , at 1:15 pm by Ryan

Can anybody explain to me how a bust on an already illegal action can be targeted by the bleeding heart crowd as a bust targeting illegal aliens?

I’ve been pondering this for a couple of days now, trying to come to terms with the idiocy of these people, and I can’t quite do it. This is on the heels of a whole variety of recent outrage over police and federal agents doing their jobs, because apparently we’re not supposed to be arresting illegal citizens, even if they are committing crimes, because it might hurt somebody’s feelings.

So, here’s the crime:
18 men and women were charged with running a prostitution ring in the Twin Cities. All together, there were running eight brothels around the Twin Cities area. They primarily prostituted immigrant women from Mexico and Central America, taking their papers to prevent them from leaving. The women were being brought to a half-way house from the airport, and then sent to the brothels from there. Of the 18 people arrested, 14 of them were illegal immigrants. The other four were legal immigrants.
