Matching faces to random crime

I have spent a great deal of time talking about the Knoxville murders over the past couple of weeks, which is contrary to my usual local focus. However, this has not all been for naught. My anger towards the treatment of certain issues over others is a hundred times greater when dealing with the local happenings.

The massive amount of coverage that the media gives to certain types of stories is disheartening at best. Every day we are inundated with endless coverage of things like immigrant protests over raids, US attorney issues, and “unfair” police actions. But what about the things that should be important, especially in the community?

How many people Know the names Rich Christianson and Michael Trinity? I do, but that’s because I follow such things. Conversely, how many people know the name Sean Bell or Duke Rape? Much more so than Sean Bell, Duke Rape or any of the other crap we are getting filled with day after day are the people who’s names we so readily forget or never even hear about.

I have touched on Rich and Michael before, but let me do it again.

This is Rich Christianson (top) and Michael Trinity (bottom). They were randomly robbed and executed on April 17, 2007 as they left a Minneapolis bar. Each was forced to kneel in an ally and shot once in the head after they gave up their wallets to a couple of black teens. This is a horrific crime, and it makes me sick to my stomach to think about it, yet the story gets lost beneath the crap that the media chooses to feed us

A Yahoo! search for Michal Trinity and Richard Christianson turned up 33 hits, and many of those were already dead links to flash in the pan news stories from local media sources. In contrast, a search for Sean Bell + killing (to filter out other Sean Bells) turns up 159,000+ hits, including its own Wikipedia page. Duke Rape has over 2.5 million hits

The only article that I could find that talked about the sadness and outrage of this crime was an article covering a brief interview with Trinity’s mother with KSTP news. I would highly advise that people check out the article and watch the video clip. Otherwise, she says:

“This is not just another faceless victim, I want people to know this was an extraordinary human being.”

I couldn’t agree more. I wish there was more that could be done to get the word out. I’m tired of hearing about the silly and inane things that go on, and would like to see that the truth get out about the truly horrible crimes that happen in communities. We owe it to Rich and Mike to remember them and to pay their deaths just as much, if not more attention as the death of a felon at the hands of police officers. It has only been slightly over a month since this senseless double murder, and yet it’s already all but forgotten about. How sad is that? Not that I think we should dwell, but we also can’t let something like this slip away.

A crime like this is more than just a murder, it is a sign of the times in the community; much more so than the Duke Rape fiasco or the Sean Bell killing. Crimes like this an the Knoxville murders of Channon Christian an Chris Newsom are the crimes that need to be addressed in order to understand what’s happening in the black community, yet they get swept away before people even learn the names of the victims. These are not drug crimes, they are not crimes of passion or crimes by known associates. These are random and brutal killings of people who just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. People who were just out enjoying the night and were killed for no particular reason.

These are the things we need to have pounded into our heads, and these are the things the communities need to address, or things like this will continue to happen. I don’t care if it offends blacks to hear this, and I don’t care if blacks feel they are targeted by the media or the communities. Maybe that’s what needs to happen. It’s the people in their own community that are committing these atrocities, so maybe it’s time they get saddled with the burden of dealing with it.

This is not me being racist. Far from it. This is me saying that the media needs to stop fearing the black community and put more focus on the crimes that their members are committing instead of stuffing the articles behind immigrants issues and Attorney General nonsense. People like Rich and Mike and Channon and Chris deserve better than second-page reporting.

Is there a site on the web where black-on-white murders are being recorded? There probably isn’t a site big enough to record them all. We probably need a wall on the mall in Washington.

The media wants us to beliee that blacks are victims and virtually all black crime is done by blacks against other blacks, so, whites are racist if they say otherwise.

The media would like your sons and daughters to socialize and accept blacks as equals…while all good parents should teach their kids to trust their instincts and stay far away from them.

Blacks generally hate white people. The only thing they want is to have sex with white women. In proson, they want to sodomize weaker, outnumbered white male prisoners. It’s their answer to reparations for slavery and the injustices that the media has taught them they deserve.

The media does this because it hates the heterosexual, christian white male. Stupid white go along with it.

You can go to http://www.vnnforum.com and they have a running post that of black on white crimes.
I don’t officially endorse this site, because they tend to be a bit too extreme for my liking, but they do have a good amount of information. They are actually the only non-local source that I found that addressed this crime. In fact, if you search youtube, vnnforum.com has a video clip regarding this murder.

I was just now coincedentally posting comments to 3 other “news” reporters at other sites pertaining to my brother’s murder. They are all sadly outdated, and then I stumbled onto your website. Michael Trinity is my brother, and he lived here in California before being murdered in Minnesota. I see no updates on the crimminal proceedings; or anything else about this story at all since April, when it happened. As far as I’m concerned, this story is far from being over, and should not be shelved away just yet. Your concern alone is more help than you can imagine right now, and the only thing I have come across so far. Being here in California, I hear nothing about it and have had a hard time getting any info at all. We should continue to keep this story alive, I would like to know the fate of the 3 teens involved in my brother’s murder. The full story has yet to come out. Our mother will be comforted to know somebody out there still cares. Thank You.

I know Rich Christianson and I miss him terribly. As my high school sweetheart and a big part of my family during that time, he is missed, every day!The picture that you post of him depicts how he always carried himself, a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. I had been searching for Rich for about a year when I finally found him, by news of his death. How terrible to know that someone that meant so much to you and was such a big influence on your life was taken so abruptly, and because some kids have no remorse? No care for life as we all know it????
I believe that in this circumstance, the teens that murdered our loved ones shold be executed! There is no reason for them to live, what makes anyone think that after they get out of prison/jail that they are going to think any differently. They are more than likely going to be stuck in the same lifestyle if not worse than when they were prosecuted! What do they care if they live or die? Richie and michael deserved to live a long life, to see what their futures held for them!
I will NEVER forget Richie and what he meant to me, or how much he meant to his family! I thank the Lord everyday for letting me partake in his wonderful, loving personality while he was here on earth.
