Have you seen this scumbag? Manishkumar Patel is wanted on seven felony charges in Wisconsin for sneaking a crushed up RU-486 abortion pill to his pregnant girlfriend and causing her to miscarry. Twice.
He is an Indian immigrant here on a work visa, however he forfeited his Indian passport as a condition of the bond. He is married, but has been seeing another woman since 2001. He confessed that he did not want more children – as he already has children with his wife – and had abortion pills sent to him from India (where the pills aren’t well regulated).
He was being held in Outagamie County Wisconsin where he skipped out on a $750,000 bail that was raised for him by friends. It was recommended that he be held on $1 million bail because he was a flight risk, but a judge knocked it down to $750,000.
What this guy did is absolutely reprehensible and he faces 100 years in prison if convicted. He needs to be brought to justice.

from the article I was reading, it was a cash bond. Since he was an immigrant, he didn’t have collateral. Either way, there is already talk of forfeiting the bond if they catch him or he turns himself in. Forfeiting that much money has got to suck!

As a MD, you would consider your boyfriend mental or your patient and not be involved,that is only smart doctor with common sense. why was she with him. I wouldnt visit that doctor. She may had gone to school and got her status as MD but where is common sense! That is what is scary. She is from our town Racine, WI a family doctor and today i am shocked that i had to write this about her. Her father was right, he should of never left her, cause she sure acts like she needs to be babysat, dating married man. She has made history in our indian culture.
That is very true, and one would like to think that somebody who is an MD would be smarter than to date and sleep with a married man, but things like that happen and there is always more to the story.
Did she know he was married at the time? After all, nobody even seems to know the location of his wife which means he obviously did a good job of keeping her a secret. Then again, as a married man he bears an equal amount of burden – if not more depending on what the reality of the situation actually is.
Well, either way it doesn’t make what he did any more excusable. When you make a mistake you have to take it like a man. This sneaking around and then running away thing is completely dishonorable and shows a powerful weakness of character on his part.
Well she knew about his wife the day she met him, on top of that she bought them a house and cars. That is not normal. Then had sexual relations with him. I never heard of a professional, especially md get involved like this. I read article where she said that she felt trapped or lonely. well she is now left very lonely. I think only reason she was involved with this man is because she went through a divorce and in indian culture, once women is divorced, unlikely to be choosen by another man, cause you are considered “used”. So, she found him and fell in love, she felt unwanted. He had no right to do what he did, but this would not all happen if she left him long time ago. She had warning signs she said in her article that he physically and emotionally abused her and suffered miscarriages even when she doubted. Why as MD? She sure wouldnt qualify as psychiatrist. You should be smart to know when to stay away from a guy like this, if he is crazy then stay away or he will do something crazy. If you look in small courts people case search. his background is full of bizarre history of sexual assualt, attacking officer, etc. Im sure he had rough personality, and md like this type of a guy. hilarious. it all could of been prevented, it didnt come out of surprise. she needs to get mental help her self.
While I do sympathize with the situation and I understand that there are certainly some bizarre issue with divorced women in the Indian culture, you’re right… She should have been smarter about it. To willingly get involved to that degree with a man who was married and had children already is pretty dumb – no matter what he may have told her. She should have realized that she is living in America now, and in our culture there is no stigma attached to divorced women and she could have easily found herself a “local” to hook up with.
You are right, though, and if there were warning signs long ago she should have taken off and gotten away from this guy… Especially if, as you say, he had a criminal history already.
Their relationship aside, I would still like to see this guy brought to justice and taken off the streets – especially if he is as crazy as you claim he is. He should be held accountable for his crimes, and running away and hiding like he is just proves that he refuses to take responsibility for his actions.
