Is The Senator Trying to Put the “Hillary” Back In Clinton?

Of all the candidates running for President in 2008, I would liken Clinton to be the “Mr. Burns” of the group. Granted, Clinton is nowhere near Mr. Burns when it comes to, well, just about anything… Rather she is the one person that no matter what she does, no matter how she acts, no matter what she says… People still see her as something of an ogre.

Too bad.

Or in the words of Dr. Evil, “boo frickity hoo”

So what’s she doing? What on earth is her campaign trying to convince the people of this time? That she’s a soft, delicate human being under that bitter husk? That despite the fact that she has a notorious record of standing up and shouting people down and going ballistic over the things she’s been told to feel passionate about, she’s really just a soft woman with real feelings trying to get by in this rough political world?

Nice try, but we’re not buying it (and by “we” I mean “we the people who have IQ’s greater than our shoe sizes”). Which leaves… Well, a select few “special” people who are buying into the “let’s turn the weathered cranky bitch into an actual human being” campaign trick. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the media is buying into this garbage?

Ok, so to be fair, they might not actually be “buying into it” but they are certailny helping things along by catering to this joke. After all, didn’t NBC’s Matt Lauer (you remember him, the boob who went to the arctic to show us global warming) put the kid gloves on and approach Clinton with “protective understanding” and want to discuss her feelings and emotions?

Forgive me if I throw up a little, but I suddenly feel sick. I mean, didn’t Media Matters et al. tell us that the media has a “right” spin to it? I guess somebody forgot to update the Today Show with that memo, since Lauer chose to viciously take apart and insult Romney while gently massaging Clinton’s newfound “delicate” side.

Gag!

But I digress. Getting back to Clinton and her little “episode,” I can’t help but to wonder what was going through that caused her eyes to well up with tears. I listened to what she was saying when she was cracking up, and I can’t say that I heard anything other than the usual hollow Democratic rhetoric. She sees where things are going, she wants change, she has had so many opportunities (to get a lifetime pass on the taxpayer’s dollar?) and doesn’t want to see us fall backwards (huh?)… She said a mouthful but didn’t really say anything at all. My guess is that the Senator was pondering her supposed “inevitablity” and the fact that she may just have to live out the rest of her life on just one Presidental pension and a Senator’s feeble salary.

Give me a break. Clinton doesn’t care about the people of this country. She cares about her own bottom line. Her only concern is “what can I gain from this.”

I’m sorry, you can cry me a river of tears, but nature outweighs demeanor and her nature has been shining brightly for too many years to fool us with a sudden shift in demeanor.

My advice? Putting the “Hillary” back in Clinton just isn’t going to work. Maybe it’s time to drop the chameleon campaign and just be honest.

Well, it was just my advice anyway.

Well, she did show us one thing . . . and that is, that America has gone too far left. I am referring to her well revealing comment, and I paraphrase, “I just think we have gone backwards.” Gone backwards? From what? A complete Socialist doctrine?

Good gawd woman I can’t believe that you’ve actually studied any American History or Con Law. Going backwards?

This is where I think that Ron Paul has it right. If he were in office we may not agree with everything this man says, but one thing is for sure, he actually would take us backwards–backwards right up to the Constitution, that’s for damn sure!

Putting “Hillary” back in Clinton seems to have worked here in New Hampshire. I heard a caller to a radio show today say “thank God we got the stupid states out of the way” when talking about the primaries. While I would normally have gotten pissed off, I laughed because I have to agree with him.

Steve, sadly I think you’re right. I think her silly antics achieved her campaign’s goal, which is why she blew right past the polls. I have to commend her on being so conniving and actually coming out on top.
