Rekindling an old topic: VHEMT
Ah yes, one of the VHEMT boobs reared their head on my blog the other day, and it really got me thinking… If people are so convinced that man is bad, then why do they continue to exist in blatant contradiction to their own philosophy and beliefs? I mean, isn’t it a bit hypocritical to think that somebody is standing up and preaching about how bad mankind is, while at the same time they are continuing to contaminate the planet with their own stinking bodies?
Backing up a second, here is the recent blip of idiocy to appear on my initial skewering of VHEMT:
People like you scare me. That’s why I am Vehmt so i don’t give birth to something like you. to have such an egotism that humankind is the best thing to happen is mind boggling. do you really think that humans have made this planet better? the impact that humans have had on this planet is devastating, and if part of our conscience is to feel empathy then how can we let this continue? and it’s not just the effects on the environment & the fauna but also man to man.
So… Where to start? Should I address the fact that this person’s perspective on life is contrary to what life actually means? Ok, to say it a little less cryptic… To live is to strive to be the best that you can be. If you look at man in the same light as any other animal, then the goal of life is very apparent. After all, other animals must strive to be the best or risk certain death… Or on a more macro-scale, where survival of the fittest is concerned, those animals that cannot achieve success in life is doomed to perish entirely.
Is man any different? I would say not, which would also mean that it is wrong to suppress progress and ego in the name of anything else. After all, each species on earth had the same chance to evolve, so why should we be humble and be made to feel guilt for who and what we are?
But let’s distill this down even further… If man is so bad, then isn’t it not only hypocritical, but also contrary to the entire philosophy to exist at all? While the argument might be made that existing helps the cause by educating others; yet in the end isn’t it a zero-sum game? After all, if everybody is informed, what has actually been accomplished to further the cause? The theory, so far as I can tell, is that man is the greatest blight on the earth – so with that said, how can one really believe in and follow a cause if they continue to be part of that blight?
To truly be a part of this philosophy beyond just a talking head, one would have to remove themself from the equation completely. That way, the person is not only putting an end to their own wicked self, but they are also offsetting the rest of our impact. Furthermore, the act would most certailny impact and influence others much more so than a cause that is all talk and no real action.
So it is my suggestion that, instead of posting little hateful message about how bad nasty wicked people like me are, these people put an end to their own selves and actually make a useful statement. It’s win-win. You rid the world of your own awful self, you offset my existance, and you have made a useful statement to others. Is there any better answer to the plight? I would think not.
Author’s note: Ordinarily I do not condone or encourage suicide, however in this case I choose to make an exception. I would not lose any sleep if any one of these pitiful greenies took matters into their own hands and rid the planet of their own bodies. In fact, I strongly encourage the act because not only would it be much more useful than just whining all the time, but it would finally shut them up once and for all and make my life all that much more pleasurable.
Reiterating…

With the current political, economic and social environments spiraling out of control, I would once again like to reiterate my support for Bob Barr.
Maybe I’ve lived out in the sticks for too long. Maybe I’m just being paranoid. Either way, I’m preparing for the worst… The worst being a victory for “the messiah.” But I can’t help but to ask what a victory for McCain will net us?
I have been transferring money to gold and palladium. Stocking up on ammunition. Looking to the future and hoping that my fears are unfounded and that I will later be able to look back at these times and laugh.
But for now, I don’t have any faith in the economy or in our political leaders’ ability to not lose all of us in their silly games and self-serving agendas. I don’t think that they can fix the problems that they have caused nor can they repair the damage that they have done in creating a frightening wall of separation between us and them. Americans have become disenfranchised from their government thanks to economic greed and a sick lust for power that only corrput politics can provide.
So for right now, I’m holing up and preparing for what could be and hoping that the course of what could be doesn;t become a path to inevitability.
A final thought… The best thing that I have heard in this general election season so far comes from Wayne Allyn Root:
“Get out your wallet… Look inside…. Vote for me and I promise to stay the hell out of there!”
This is the sort of blunt truth that we need in the oval office…
Trillion dollars pissed away… Only Metallica can acurately describe the situation
How can I say it better than this?
That mysterious third street
This recent fiasco has coined the annoying terminology of “wall street” and “main street.” I am tired of hearing about it. Main street? What the heck kind of crap is that?
However, what I do want to hear about is the third street – you know, that street that leads down into the abyss. We could call it the “highway to hell” or we could just call it the “government street.” Either way, it’s something that needs to be addressed because these roundheads are not only compeltely separated from reality and the rest of us main and/or wall streeters, but their street follows the path of a caffinated gnat with attention deficit disorder.
Why is nobody asking why it is that the very people who are now defining us by what street we supposedly reside on don’t exist on either one themselves? Nobody in DC exists on main or wall street. And yet, they think that they have the answers and that they know what’s best for us main/wall streeters.
This is no different than me coming into an operating room and trying to direct the doctors. I could do it under the guise of “knowing best” but I can assure you that the outcome would be far worse than if I let the doctors do their job.
I think it’s time to remind both congress and our executive branch that they don’t know what they’re doing and that allowing the same people who screwed us to begin with to try and un-screw this situation is a really, really dumb idea.
But then again, who am I to say? If you need me, I’ll be in the OR.
